Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

I’ve decided to write another nasheed about the current situation in Palestine. Anyone who isn’t aware of what’s going on please read my previous blogs, More than just a slogan and The Hypocrisy of apartheid in the media.  For those of you who don’t know a Nasheed is a work of vocal music that is either sung acapella or accompanied by percussion instruments such as the daf. In general, Islamic nasheeds do not contain lamellaphone instruments. The material and lyrics of a nasheed usually make reference to Islamic beliefs, history, and religion, as well as current events. This Nasheed is a cover of “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” which has been sung by so many artists but I particularly like the version sung by Avril Lavigne. I am looking to get this recorded so any Nasheed artists out there please feel free to get in touch.

This Ramadan they went into Al-Aqsa

How can they call this a war?

This land they’re taking they have no right to

And it’s leaving Palestine at Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Mashallah, they’re waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

My brothers and sisters are knocking on Junnah’s door

My brother you can hear the guns shooting

Yet you still bow your head to the floor

The noor on  your face is shining so brightly

As you’re waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Mashallah, they’re waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

My brothers and sisters are knocking on Junnah’s door

Today a sister can’t stop crying

It’s her son the troops came for

All he did is went for Taraweeh

Now he’s waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Mashallah, they’re waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

My brothers and sisters are knocking on Junnah’s door

A child of 10 is so tired

His parents are on the hospital floor

The oldest child of four siblings

While his parents wait to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Mashallah, they’re waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

My brothers and sisters are knocking on Junnah’s door

Brothers and sisters it’s up to us

To tell Israel now no more

And if they won’t listen we’ll make them hear us

We won’t stop until they hear our roars

Free Palestine

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Mashallah, they’re waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

Waiting to knock on Junnah’s door

My brothers and sisters are knocking on Junnah’s door
