DC’s New Batman, Brave and Bold or just plain stupid?

With James Gunn now in charge of the new DC Extended Universe and him revealing the outline of part one of the new slate of DC films which is meant to revamp the DCEU and which contains a brand new Batman movie called The Brave and The Bold questions have been asked of whether DC has learned the lessons of the past or are they just repeating the same old mistakes?…

The Road to Independence

Those of you that follow my blogs will know how proud I am of being a disabled person who is living independently. I honestly believe this is my greatest achievement so far, however………..

Steven Gerrard’s top 10 goals

Last month marked the 24th anniversary of Steven Gerard’s debut for Liverpool Football Club, on that cold November 28th afternoon in 1998, an 18-year-old young Scouse prodigy stepped out onto the Anfield turf as a late substitute against Blackburn Rovers, little did fans know what impact Gerrard would make on the club winning everything apart from the Premier league…………….

This is me

With the FIFA Men’s World Cup well into its third week and the apparent “controversy” of the tournament showing no signs of letting up and the western media hell-bent on criticising hosts Qatar’s Islamic laws, beliefs, and culture at every given opportunity……

Rebooting the DCEU

Why we love football so much

As every Liverpool fan all over the world is now beginning to recover from the mad celebrations of Sunday’s dramatic late win, in which goalkeeper Alisson Becker scored a 94th minute winner to give The Reds all three points away at West Brom to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive, I wanted to just give my own personal thoughts on the goal and that moment in general…..

More than just a slogan

So on Saturday 9th May 2021 I woke up to the absolutely heart breaking news about our brothers and sisters in Palestine. The night before (Friday 8th May 2021) Masjid Al-Aqsa was stormed by Israeli terrorist soldiers while taraweeh prayers were being performed. These soldiers had no reason to be there other than to cause trouble. Israel will spin this and say it was an act of self defence but the pictures tell a completely different story……..

Why this means more

Liverpool Football Club, Premiere League Champions! Ah that feels good to say and as fans begin to celebrate Liverpool’s triumph the reality of the Reds ending the 30 year drought for a league title is beginning to sink in. While emotions and feelings are running high and for some may be a little too much to handle the fact is that this is more than just Liverpool becoming champions of England, this means so much more to so many of us……….

The truth about this election

As Britain gets ready to go to the ballot boxes this week in what has been described as one of the most important general elections in our generation it seems that the country is ever more divided, with questions about Brexit, the NHS as well as crime in this country high on the agenda………..

The Hypocrisy of apartheid in the media

As South Africa won the Rugby World Cup last Saturday for the third time in the country’s history there was one overriding headline I kept hearing again and again from the worlds media and that was how “this story transcends sports and has helped unify the country”……

Disproving the myths about Muslim women

It seems nowadays the religion of Islam is becoming more and more under the spotlight within western society, whether it’s because people are generally curious about what the religion offers or because people have been brainwashed into believing that Islam is a barbaric religion that has no place in the modern world, either way talking about Islam within the western world can often be perceived as rather controversial…..

It’s fair to say that the last decade has been an absolute nightmare for the Ferrari Formula 1 team, not since Kimi Raikkonen won the World Championship in 2007 have the Italian team been on top of the world……….

He’s our centre-half, our number four

Virgil van Dijk has been the topic of conversation for Liverpool fans more or less ever since he joined the club in January 2018. The large towering centre-back has brought a calmness to the Liverpool backline that hasn’t been seen since Jamie Carragher hung up his boots in 2013…….

The Spider-Man Tug of War

Ever since his cinematic debut in 2001 Spider-Man has had that many comebacks he’s beginning to put the late great Mohammad Ali to shame and with the New York Web-Slinger now involved another tug of war between Sony Pictures and Disney it looks like yet again Spidey’s career on the big screen may have taken another turn. ………..

Where is the love?

The Black Eyed Peas famously asked the question in 2003 of “where is the love?” and as we start the new 2019/20 football season that question has never been more poignant than it is at this moment……
